The SN74AHC family is Texas Instruments' Advanced High-Speed CMOS logic series. It offers standard 74-series functions with faster switching than many HC devices while keeping CMOS input behavior and low static power. The catalog includes single and multi-gate logic, inverters, buffers, latches, flip-flops, multiplexers, and selected bus-interface devices in compact SMT packages and some service-friendly formats.
SN74AHC is useful when a board needs 3.3 V or 5 V CMOS logic with tighter propagation-delay targets than older HC logic. Many variants support 2 V to 5.5 V operation and are available in SOIC, TSSOP, VQFN, SOT-23, SC-70, and related small packages. Because AHC inputs use CMOS thresholds, TTL-level compatibility should not be assumed. For TTL-compatible 5 V inputs, the AHCT family is usually the closer starting point.
