Gate Drivers

Gate driver ICs provide the high-current, fast-switching gate signals required to turn on and off power MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC MOSFETs, and GaN FETs in power converters, motor drives, and inverter systems. Available in half-bridge, high-side, low-side, and isolated configurations from TI, Infineon, onsemi, ADI, STMicroelectronics, and Allegro with parametric selection by peak current, propagation delay, dV/dt immunity, and isolation voltage.

About Gate Drivers

Gate Driver ICs are high-current buffer amplifiers designed to bridge low-power control signals from microcontrollers or PWM controllers with the gates of high-power switching devices, such as power MOSFETs, IGBTs, Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFETs, and Gallium Nitride (GaN) FETs. Because power switches present large capacitive loads at their gates, gate drivers must deliver amperes of peak current within nanoseconds to ensure fast turn-on and turn-off times, minimizing switching power losses and thermal buildup.

Gate drivers are available in low-side, high-side, half-bridge, and optically or magnetically isolated configurations (isolated gate drivers). Selection parameters include peak output drive current (sink/source, typically 1A to 10A), propagation delay, slew rate control, common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) for SiC/GaN, and integrated safety protection features such as Under-Voltage Lockout (UVLO) and desaturation (DESAT) short-circuit detection.

On Octatronics, search and compare gate driver ICs from industry leaders including Infineon Technologies, Texas Instruments, onsemi, Analog Devices, STMicroelectronics, and Allegro. Access datasheets, layout recommendations, and submit online RFQs for bulk procurement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Octatronics can help source a wide range of Gate Drivers from major manufacturers worldwide, including active production parts, long-lead-time items, and hard-to-find components.

Yes. You can submit a single part number or upload a BOM with multiple parts. Our team will check stock, date code, lead time, and pricing for each item.

Availability depends on the specific part number and supplier source. For important orders, buyers can request packaging photos, labels, date code information, and traceability documents.

Yes. Octatronics supports sourcing for active, end-of-life, obsolete, and hard-to-find components through our global supplier network.

Please provide the part number, manufacturer, quantity, required date code, target price, delivery country, and whether original packaging or COC is required.
