Founded in 1977 in Taipei, Taiwan, Yageo Corporation has become a global passive component leader through strategic acquisitions of KEMET (2020), Pulse Electronics, and other specialty component companies. The combined Yageo-KEMET entity now operates over 30 manufacturing facilities worldwide and offers one of the broadest passive component portfolios in the industry.

Yageo's core product lines include RC-series chip resistors (0201 to 2512), thin-film precision resistors, chip inductors, and ferrite beads. KEMET adds world-class capacitor technology: ceramic (C0G, X7R, X5R MLCCs), tantalum (solid MnO₂ and polymer), aluminum electrolytic, and film capacitors — including supercapacitors and DC-link capacitors for renewable energy inverters and EV powertrains.
