OR Controller and Ideal Diode ICs are power path management components designed to replace traditional Schottky ORing diodes in redundant power systems, high-current battery path switches, and reverse-voltage protection circuits. By driving an external N-channel power MOSFET to mimic a diode but with an extremely low on-resistance (RDSon), ideal diodes eliminate the significant forward voltage drop (and resulting heat generation) of classic diodes, maximizing system power efficiency.
